From Gold to Platinum: Raising the Standards for Jobsite Safety
Safety has always been a core part of how we operate. It is not something we talk about once a year. It is something we work at every day.
Over the past year, that work has led to continued progress in our safety performance, moving us from Gold to Platinum in the STEP system from Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC). Thank you to the ABC team for this recognition. For our team, this serves as reassurance that the standards we hold ourselves to each day are making a difference on our jobsites.
What Platinum Level Safety Means in Practice
The STEP program looks at how contractors actually perform when it comes to safety. It considers factors like recordable incidents, time away from work due to injury, safety training, leadership involvement, and how well safety is managed across projects.
Reaching the Platinum level means a company is performing well above industry safety averages and has built a strong, proactive safety culture on its jobsites.
How We Put Safety Into Practice
Training is ongoing, and everyone from apprentices to senior leadership plays a role in maintaining jobsite safety. That shared responsibility shapes how our teams communicate, follow through on expectations, and maintain accountability.
